Around the Mountain

Isn't the mountain looking nice?

Are those peanut M&M's?

If only they would hold still for a picture...

Camping on the Mesa

Pack up the tent or camper and head up the mesa...just leave those fireworks at home. Sorry but Smokey is right.

ALL campgrounds on the Grand Mesa are now open!
- Big Creek
- Cobbett Lake
- Cottonwood Lake
- Crag Crest
- Ward Lake
- Island Lake
- Weir Johnson
- Jumbo
- Little Bear
- Spruce Grove

Swing by Powderhorn for anything you may need to enjoy the mesa. Our disc golf course is now open and is free to play. Plus the Alpine Trader & Cafe has ice, snacks, beverages, sandwiches, ice cream, bug spray, sunblock, gifts, sunglasses, clothing and all kinds of other items.

Careful up and have fun this weekend!

Young at Heart Videos

Check out this video by the Young at Heart crew!

They have a really good time. If you're in the 50+ crowd, join up this winter! Every Thursday all season you get to ski with fun people, get a discounted lift ticket, and enjoy an apres party at the end of the day.

p.s. Sorry I couldn't embed the video. Blogger is being stupid and I gave up for sanity's sake.

After what seems like 6 inches of rain today, the weather is clearing. Highs in Junction this weekend are forecast around 90....only 70 up here though! Stop in the Alpine Trader & Cafe (located in the lodge) for sandwiches, beverages, ice cream, snacks, and info on how to enjoy the Grand Mesa this weekend.

Coffee = Productivity

Powderhorn's satellite office is at Trader's Coffee today. Stop in and say hi if this is your pick-me-up shop of choice. I'd be happy to answer questions or just talk skiing/hiking/disc golf/look at pictures of your grand kids.

We're beginning the process of developing a new logo for Powderhorn. A little brainstorming meeting is happening today and I'm counting on the coffee to trigger some massive light bulb. As always, if you have ideas/feedback, just email us at ski@powderhorn.com. You can also bug us via Twitter.
